Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo has not only dropped two albums, but also multiple loose songs. Here we’ll recap those.
Icewear Vezzo is one of the longest running in the new Detroit scene. He’s a veteran in the new scene, having been around since the drill scene was rising in Chicago, and has never had any downtime. He drops a multitude of albums in any given year, as well as plenty of singles and loose tracks along the way. 2021 has been no exception.
Up The Scoe (ft. Lil Durk)
Easily his biggest song this year and yet it never landed on an album. Icewear links with Lil Durk on the track who has also had a huge 2021. The sound of the track fits both of their styles well, with it leaning towards a more Detroit sound. They both do their own flows that they have mastered and execute them with perfection.
New day (w/ IUR Jetto)
Icewear Vezzo links with one of his own on New Day. The lyric is in reference to one of the first bars in “Dipset Anthem.” Icewear’s song also samples that same song. The song also has IUR Jetto, a member of Vezzo’s Iced Up Records. Another great track from Vezzo.
Know The Difference (ft. Lil Baby)
Lil Baby has been an artist to follow when it comes to features. On “Know The Difference” he keeps this trend going. While the productions leans more towards Lil Baby’s style, the two keep up with each other. Now that Vezzo got tracks with Baby and Durk, hopefully there will be a day we see all three of them on the same track.
Bacc Again
Not every track has been feature heavy though. “Bacc Again” is Vezzo all by himself. The song is a single verse but its a killer 3 minutes. Flexing in his new Rolls Royce throughout the video, Vezzo looks and sounds on top of the world.
